Meet Eddie

Meet Eddie, I'll be leasing him starting September. I accept constructive criticism but only if you have tips on how I can improve what you are critiquing! Also keep in mind that this is only my second time riding him, and first time jumping him. He's also NOTHING like the schooling horses i'm used to.

That's great you get to lease him! I've never been able to find a half lease that would work for me, so I'm stuck with my instructor's bratty mare (that I'm in love with).

You two look great together! I don't jump so I really don't have anything to comment on. Just remember to keep your heels down. =D

Yea I get him on a free lease while his owner is away at University. I get all his tack and everything with him, and free use of her trailer. All I have to do is pay for board, worming, farrier, and an annual vet visit.

He's cute! Try to sit up a bit more, tdrop into your heels, and BEND tyhe elbows! Otherwise you look great

I know what you mean about adjusting to a new horse. I looked AWFUl when I first started riding my 16.3 beast, before I rode my 15hh horse and ponies, lol

Mhmm I'm used to riding super lazy schooling horses with sides of steel! Lol where you have to kick them super hard to get going. Eddie on the other hand is SUPER sensitive.. all I have to do is THINK trot and barely touch him and he trots, same thing with canter. My instructor didn't really try to critique me because she knew I was still getting used to him. 3/4 of the time I was on the wrong diagonal, just because I was trying to think of so many other things. But I know with time and the more used to him I get the better things will be.

Haha yea it's great, and it turns out his owner is a friend of mine I went to high school with so she's like super easy going about everything.
