My awesome day with chance! and 1 question.

We did some heavy work today with chance no jumping I really need to get pictures and some video but someone stole my camera!!!

We did a lot of trotting and working on 20 meter circles.. and once she was tired I decided to canter the 20 meter circle and she did soo well!!!!! Nice collected canter pretty good bend!

The last time I did it she was a bit tired but I had to push her forward by kinda saying CANTER!! Twice. Lol people were like don't scare her :P I was like ahh well it worked :P

SOo after that we went on a 30 minute trail ride with 4 other people it was such a nice day! My butt and my knees HURT! Lol I spent 2 hours in the saddle!!

After that I gave her a longg bath! She looked soo prettyful! I bet monday when I go back she will be all muddy again .. but I guess it was the thought. She gets tomorrow off lol.

We also worked on standing still while being groomed she got the idea.

Umm she's suppose to be getting her teeth floated on tuesday.. which is when im getting my lesson ..

Do you think she will be okay to ride or no...
Hopefully she doesnt have to be sadated..

Hmm I think that's it for now. Byez

Personally, I wouldn't ride right after floating. The vet (who recently did my horse's teeth) gave my horse a sedative before beginning that contained painkillers and some Bute afterwards. It's not that their teeth/gums will hurt afaterwards, but their jaws might be sore from being held open all that time. Also, it varies from horse to horse on how long it takes for the sedative to wear off. So I would ride before the floating or the day after, just to give the horse some time to recover.

Great news on the standing still thing! What did you do to get her to behave? :)

Hehe thanks basicly everytime she moved away from the place I wanted her to be I would move her back and give a slight tug on the lead rope. Eventually she's like OO and just lowered her head and relaxed. She did semi good with standing still with bridleing.
Tacking up I just put her on the cross ties. She gets to ansy for that we will work on it once we have the grooming down so she doesnt need even 1 cross tie! Thanks for your help btw!

That sounds like great progress And you're taking lots of baby steps so you don't overload her little horsey mind ^^

I'd ask your trainer and your vet. I'm pretty certain the vet will have to sedate Chance (I'm think they always do but I could be wrong...) and you will definitely want that to be completely worn off before you get on!
