Let me tell you that my horse was just an absolute saint. When we got there, my trainer started to get his stall set up, while I just let him graze and settle for about 5 minutes or so. He was very alert and a tad nervous for about 2-3 minutes total. I was just talking to him, and he settled down rather fast, which didn't surprise me.
I then *attempted* to lunge him, thinking he would get some energy out, because he hadn't been outside all day on Friday, and only 3-4 hours on Thursday. But all didn't go as planned, aha. He had no interest in cantering; my trainer had to freaking go borrow a lunge whip from another barn to see if cracking that could him to let out a few bucks. Nope, he just cantered and was totally chill.
So, he was schooled for about 30 minutes after that, he was soo good! He acted like he has been to that place a million times. :]
Saturday: We got a 69% our first test; 70% on our second. We won our division with blues for each class, as well as me earning High Point Junior Rider of the Day! I was soo proud of him!
Sunday: We ended up with 70% on both tests, and the exact same awards as yesterday! Gosh, I love my horse! :]]]
Soo, basically it was an amazingg weekend for both of us, and I honestly could not be any happier than I am currently.
