Are you for real? He's eight! Why should he even care as long as he's having fun and enjoys it?

I'm almost 18 and still need to have my dressage tests read out to me, is that sad? I know it's embarrassing to me, but I still have fun when I go with my team.

Mine just turned 10 and has finally started calling the bridle a bridle and the halter a halter. He knew the difference and what they were for but always called everything a halter....

Mine just started grooming his horse last year for me w/out my assistance. He can put the bridle on and take it off but can't do the saddle yet because she is almost 16 hands but he mounts (with a mounting block) and dismounts on his own and rides on his own.

He's not showing yet though because he's still working on his steering.

I'd say the 8 year old is doing great...
