Question Saddle Fitting...For The Rider

I took lessons at this barn, and they were terrible...As in, all I ever learned was how tack up, walk/trot/canter, well, basically, the bare minimum. So, my question is, how can I know if a saddle is too big/too small for me?

Thanks in advance!

The general rule of thumb is that you should be able to fit one hand behind you, pinky touching your tailbone/rear area and thumb touching the cantle. More than one hand's width and it's too large, less and it's too small.
