That sounds extremely awesome. Saddle seat is such a pretty disipline to me... The horses are so charged and energetic.

And the show cloths are the coolest. I want those vests. I want to learn to ride saddle seat mostly so I can dress up.

Have fun! If the stable has a good reputation, don't worry about bad trainers. IF you get a bad apple, find a new barn.

It's a lot easier once you get the hang of what's expected of you. You'll know in the first lesson or two if you have a good trainer and if you're really going to enjoy this. Keep an open mind through the whole process. It can get confusing if you haven't been around it much or haven't done it in a few years. Remember you're going to use new muscles if you've been riding any other discipline recently or, well, ever, lol.

I've ridden saddle seat for over 10 years among other disciplines and I love it!

Easier than you think ;D

What horses are you riding?

Brighteyes is 100% correct about the show clothes! Over 4000 invested in my attire! Every Show is a differnt setup lol.

Completly different seat from hunter/jumpers.

Only advice is Have Funn!
If your not having fun- your horse isn't having fun-then Somebody's gonna end up in the ER

Oh my! I am so excited for you. Just breath and take it all in stride. It is always nerve wracking to learn something new, and IMHO Saddleseat is the BEST! You will be fine.

LOVE saddle seat, and the clothes are probably 50% of why I love it,lol. It's a lot of fun, and as stated above not nearly as hard as you think:)
