Show Hack?

I've entered into a show hack class for our first show of the season... I've never done a hack class in my life. How should I ride in the class? What will the judges be looking for?

Hack is just like an undersaddle class, it is judged soley on the horse and it's movement. The judge is looking at how easy the horse looks to ride and how suited to the discipline it is.

I'm so glad you asked this question, as I was just going through a prize list today for our first show of the year. There is a class called Open English Pleasure Walk/Trot/Park Hack. Can someone tell me what the "Park Hack" means?

Also, I saw the same entry with "disciplined rail" at the end. What does that mean?

When I see Park Hack I tend to think of Saddleseat. I'm not 100% sure though! It's been a long time since I worked with saddlebreds!
