sponsoured ride ideas!

Me and my friend want to do a sponsoured ride with our ponies for a horse charity called hope pastures. We need some ideas though :P we are about an 45 minutes appart (our stables) on horse but we thought we could go on a really long hack and have a picnic and stuff? Any ideas? We can't ride in an arena or anything together because she's at a private yard and other horses that don't board can't use our arena. Any ideas? Anything welcome

In order to sponsor a ride, you need to have the proper insurance and the authority to put together the required paperwork and permissions.

I admire your desire to help, but unless you're adults and can take legal responsibility for all riders and get permission from landowners for your ride, you're going to be out of luck.

Why not have a bake sale or regular picnic and give the proceeds to the charity?

It is actually pretty hard to set up a sponsored ride without the correct insurance and stuff. Maybe try raising funds in a different way. Sorry to burst your bubble but some friends and I looked into this a few years back but the paperwork and legal stuff was way more than we bargained for. We ended up doing a tack wash. Like a car wash but for tack. We set up a booth and advertised and cleaned tack for a day. We charged a certain amount for saddles, bridles etc. and if anybody wanted to donate extra they could.
