For Dressage if you intend to compete you really want a dressage saddle and the tack is typically black, however I have seen at schooling shows and a local instructors Dressage camp show that some of her students do their test in AP saddles. Also if you only want to cross train or have "fun" learning some dressage movements you can do so in any saddle, a halfpass is still a halfpass whether you are riding in a dressage saddle or AP saddle or western saddle.
Out of all the wintec saddles I would suggest the Wintec 500 Close Contact, it is a nice color of brown and looks more like leather than most wintecs.
the jump saddles don't come in my size im afraid. And I will be teaching my horse english basics, so I will really need a deeper seat for flatwork I think. Im about 75% there on just buying the saddle for daily use/ learning. So color doesnt matter. Again. If I want to show later I can get a used close contact/jump saddle. But I wont make my final decision until I get to talk to somebody at the store probably. Lol. Thanks for any advice. Guys. Im still really unsure what im going to do. I guess when I get there I will have to make up my mind. :p
