Tall boot help!

I just bought the ovation finalist pro field boots! I'm currently wearing them around the house and am in love

I wore them around the store and loved them too....only one problem. The left top button will keep coming undone. It snaps into place like a normal snap, but it doesn't take much to unsnap it.

It's the same way with my dublin chaps, one of the snaps always unsnaps itself.

Are there any tricks to getting the button to stay? It's especially annoying when the tall boots unsnap because I feel it :/

Is it just that the top of the calf is too tight causing it to unbutton? If that's the case the leather should stretch a tiny bit after a while and maybe that will help.

It's not too tight at all. It's perfect lol. It's just, when you snap it, it doesn't feel like it snapped, then it takes nothing to unsnap it.

Same thing with my dublin chaps....is it because the snaps are cheap ?

I don't know if this will work.. but my brain is telling me to make the area a little more textured. Don't try this on your boots until you've tried it elsewhere. Would spraying it with a little hairspray work on giving it some texture instead of being loose? What do you think?

Hmmm. That's not a bad idea. I'll try it on my chaps since they're ragedy all ready lol. My friend was joking about putting super glue on the snap, so I think hairspray is better than supeer glue

I tried it on ny chaps first, and I did seel a small different, but tried it on my boots and it didn't work :/

:/ ugh.. there's gotta be someway to make it snap better.. maybe getting a small hairband (like for braiding) and putting it on the raised part of the snap will help it stay on snugger?

I'll try that since I actually have some on hand
