What size breeches (U.S. sizes)?

I wear an awkward size of jeans. Size 5 fits my hips perfect, but my long legs need size 7. I have a pair of Tuffrider schoolers, and the 30 inch fits me perfect (they rise way higher than my jeans do though).

I am looking at a pair of breeches from Kerrits, and I am not sure if I am a small (4-6) or medium (8-10). The sizes of pants I see are usually odd numbers, so I am confused.

I guess small would be what I'm looking for, but I have never fit in 'small', clothes. I am 5'5" with a thin, but muscular build, on top of big bones.

Juniors sizes are odd-numbered sizes, but women's sizes are usually even numbers. Kerrits has a size chart on their website that gives actual measurements for each size, which is probably the best way to decide what size you need.

Breeches are generally based on wasit sizes AND come in regular and long length. I am only 5'6" but I wear long breeches to get the correct length. See if these breeches also come in a long length size.

Dressage is for Trainers!

I think you need the medium size. I wear a size small in Kerrits and I wear a size zero in jeans or a 26" in other brands of breeches.
