Yay! I Love You, Thumper :)
Well, yesterday I was kind of bummed because my musical rehearsal was rescheduled for Saturday at 1pm, and I was supposed to have a private lesson at two :(. Instead, I rode on my own (on Thumper) before my flat lesson and then had my usual group flat lesson at 10:45. It was kind of hectic, because I had to run up to the pasture (through the slippery, freezing, deep snow, mind you), bring Thumper in, tack up quickly, hop on, ride, and then go switch horses and tack up in 10 minutes, but I did it! And Thumper was fantastic! He only had one Brains Are Falling Out moment, and I think that was because there was a lesson going on, and my instructor was telling them to canter, while I wanted Thumper at a walk. He gets a little antsy around other horses who are cantering.
I also was able to work on my half-seat a bit. I got about ten strides where it really 'clicked', and felt right, and after that it fell apart. I think I'll have lots of practice and muscle building ahead of me! But Thumper was amazing and was almost perfect! I'm looking forwards to next Thursday when I'll ride him again :). Just had to share- I'm just so happy that we had a good time
