Is becoming a certified coach worth it?

    Hi there,

I just wanted some other people's opinions on wether or not becoming a certified coach is worth it? I know several coaches including my own who are not certified and I choose them as a coach simply because they have TONS of experience and have shown at GP levels. But in your opinion would it be better for a full time
Coach to have certifications? Or does it really matter? What do you think?

It depends where you are, many places being certified gets you good deals as far as insurance, and there are lots of facilities near me (cross country courses and show grounds) that require riders be accompanied by a certified coach. Some registries also provide free advertising.
