No my sister is, She has a business outside of Aspen, CO. She is very good, she mostly does corrective shoeing working with vets now. I think she does very well for herself and does a lot of iron work on the side. She made someone in Aspen an entire staircase for their house. She did Cher's horses once when her regular farrier was out of town.
You can learn both shoeing work and trimming, and be the best of both.
My cousin is also a farrier, but, I wont let him touch my horse.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is today.
