Lightbulb Practicing the Masterson Method anyone?

I have been practicing (at home) the Masterson Method created by Jim Masterson, When I first got the book Beyond Horse Massage, I was a little sceptic that any of those techniques qould work. They Do! I can't even believe it when I see it with my own eyes and do it with my own hands.
Well anyway, my gelding respond really well to it, but my mare is much, much more guarded about where she is in pain or has tension built up. I was wondering if anyone may have some advise on how to get her to relax and open up to me enough to show me where she hurts.
O my oldest gelding has a right leg injury but wont let me work that leg. However her does this pecular thing where he will but his other front leg in my hand but wont let me put it down without putting it back in my hand. He trys to do this with his hind feet do but I don't understand what he wants me to do with them one I have them . . . Any advice?
