Working toward a career with horses
I've always had a love for horses growing up, but due to the fact that my family simply couldn't afford it, was never able to ride either by taking lessons or owning/leasing a horse. Now that I'm 20 and have a part time job I'm putting my pay checks toward school and riding lessons. Because of the fact that I've only recently been able to begin lessons (less than a year) I have very little experience, but am determined to make working with horses my career in some/any way.
My problem is that I don't know how to get started or what career possibilities are realistic for me in this area. I'm not looking to make a lot of money- I realize that's practically impossible in this area :P. What I want is mainly to make enough money to live and to care for a horse of my own while working around the animals I love.
Does anyone have any advice, maybe a starting point as I work toward my end goal? Any advice is greatly appreciated :)
