She said that once I can work with him on that canter, we will actually be above D3 standards, so that was nice to hear. In the jumping portion he got them every time, silly boy
Sounds like a good Rater. We try to work with the members when they have a green horse, too. If you know what you're doing wrong and how to fix it, etc, we generally will let it slide. You can usually tell a rider that's ready to move up. Have fun! Good luck at your rallies!

If your horse says no, you either asked the wrong question or asked the question wrong

And God took a handful of southerly wind, blew His breath over it and created the horse

Quick question for you. I'm doing a stadium rally this weekend, but don't know how I should label my tack. I don't want to ruin it or for it to look tacky with tape. Any ideas?

Look at those fields! Wherever this is, I'm moving there as soon as I hit Powerball. I would haul butt all day out there!

I love it, sooo convenient. I ride fifteen minutes through our woods and along the edge of a farmer's fields (permission given 20 years ago) to this, 5 huge fields. The day I took those pics the huge tractor came through and scared the bejeebus out of Excel . Other than the guys that mow it for the park system, I've never seen another soul back there.

Figures it's Ohio. Seems like anyone posts a picture like that, it's Ohio. That must be a great state to have a horse.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

It's great. We have the metroparks ("Emerald necklace") that rings the entire state, you can ride the trails around the perimeter and not come out for a month. We usually don't go more than 15 miles or so when we trailer there.
