Demi is back in action!

So Demi has been off for the past two...almost three months due to inflammation in her fetlock and hocks.

She got her hocks injected and her left hind fetlock injected about 12 days ago after a downhill battle with her soundness.

Yesterday, the vet (the best event horse vet in Kentucky) came out and said Demi was ready to ride again and be in full training!

So today I got on her and walked and trotted a little. My trainer said she looked a lot more even behind and she was tracking up a lot better. We are going to start jumping her next week as we have a combined test (BN) in 3 weeks and a Horse Trial (BN) in a month-ish.

I was afraid that she'd be a little crazy after being off for so long but she was perfect!

I'm so excited to get her back to her normal routine and start riding six days a week again!

That's awesome!! I know what it's like; Excel's been out of comission since summer. He kept pulling shoes, then an abcess, then sustained a bad kick on the inside of his leg....now we're back on track and ready for eventing to start.

Be sure to post pictures!!

had another great ride on Demi today. She is so SPRINGY now! She was so ready to go after three months off!

I think she needed the mental break as well. her mentality about riding is much better now.
