He's not that impressive. I think it's partly that the rider is not at all doing him justice. He's basically trucking around on his front end not using his back at all and has very little muscle. I do agree that he probably won't ever really go above training or prelim. The average horse can pretty much go up to prelim. How close are you to Rebecca Farms? I would say if you go try him, make sure you can get somewhere to school him over some cross country. That will be a huge deciding factor. I don't think getting a horse that's never evented is a bad thing at all, as long as they have a sound mind and are rideable and pretty brave I don't forsee you having much of a problem showing him that logs and ditches and water isn't scary.
