Eventing Vest

I really want a new vest for xc, and was wondering if any of you had any opinions about the CO JL9 body protecter... I currently have an Intec which is really restricting and boxy. If you have any other suggestions on vests you've liked or disliked, let me know, thanks in advance!!

Airowear make some of the best vests on the market, they are highly regarded on Horse Forum and fully certified:

I have the Airowear and love it. I feel well protected but forget it's on. I ordered mine from the UK so I could have it in colors instead of black. Even with shipping, it was cheaper than in the US. I think I paid $240 after all was said and done.

Absolutely. There are plenty of tack shops in the UK that will ship to US and Canada for much, much cheaper than if you were to buy the vest at like SmartPak. :)

I was really wanting and Airowear vest, but shouldn't I wear a regular vest under the Airowear, just in case... And what website did you order the vest off of?

Airowear is a regular vest. I think you're thinking of the those inflatable things with the canisters. I'll try to find the store I bought mine from.

Yeah, the inflatable vests are nice but extremely pricey and the refill cartridges also start to add up when you take into consideration falls and forgetting that you're strapped in when you dismount, lol. Honestly don't consider any other brand, the AiroWear vests are hands down the best ones out there that don't inflate. :)
