First CT Results and Pictures :D

Umm... dressage was interesting? I got 12th/12. Due to the general tenseness of the ride got a marked down a lot, and Fi was so nervous she wouldn't free walk, just put her head up and jigged. Also I couldn't seem to get her to stop counterbending, another one of her things she does when she's nervous. I am happy with it though, she's doing so much better since January when she wouldn't walk at home without jigging and whenever she got nervous she'd break into the canter and do tempis xD So any progress is good, and I kind of expected her to be tense, we're working on it. Of course it would of been nice if she would've free-walked, its one of her finer points. But I'm not upset.

Jumping was very nice. Went clear and she put up with some stupidness from me at the beginning. I had only jumped her once since I got back from Germany so I was having a hard time finding spots. But we got it together and it went goodgoodgood I was hoping everyone else would have some refusals and such because after my dressage test I needed that to place but of course only one person had 4 faults. :P

Pictures! Video will be up as soon as I put it on Youtube, in the jumping though the first jump was missed :\ But it was absolutely atrocious on my part so

Only one jumping picture because the angle was weird on the others.

Apparently I can't ask for the appropriate bend :\

She wasn't behind the vertical the whole time, she just dipped her head for the 2 seconds in which this was taken.

Bahaha and now I'll show you the HIGHTENSNESS!

She was like "AHHGMYLIFE. There is a pond, ducks, strange horses, but I'm supposed to focus.... umumum TENSEEVERYMUSCLE."

I say it was a success because there were no tempis! Small victories!

Congrats on completing!

The dressage is always tough for me. It will get better with more experience, I promise! No unexpected tempi changes is always a bonus!

Jumping is better anyway. :)

Next time you take her there, she'll be like "been there done that". She has the prettiest tail I've seen in a long time.

Thanks everyone! Sorry this is so late but I finally have the video!

Please note that the dressage is NOT our finest hour and she and I both go much better at home. We're learning.
Quality is bad. It was HD but I pulled it off my trainers facebook and the quality went badddd. It was only both of our's second dressage test ever. And the first on with canter.

Jumpers:
Kept on going deep because I couldn't find spots but Fi is a trooper. Overall though the jumping was a lot better and she's so much more collected and uphill now with the dressage boot camp she's been put through. I was like barely releasing though because she has the tiniest jump compared to the pony I was riding in Germany.

Great vids and thanks for sharing!

You know, we all have our flubs and we all have our awesome's at comps - but, what makes us better riders, is taking what we experienced and use those examples to make us grow - so that we can be that much better of a rider, for our horses.

If we didn't make mistakes, what would we beable to learn from?

I for one, am thankful for my mistakes and my flubs, because those incidences make me that much better next time.

:) Ride on girl! You made this Eventer proud :)

Awwww thank you so much! It was a good learning experience, to say the least xD

We're going to a lot of dressage shows over the winter so we can both get rid of our jitters, because my jitters just make Fiona be like "WHA? Why are we nervous? TENSE." So... yeah.

I'm so articulate tonight xD

Congrats on surviving your first CT!!

The biggest obstacle I see in your dressage is getting her off that right shoulder. Until you do, the proper bending will not be there. Where in NC are you? Anywhere near? You two are a nice combination with potential.
