Today I took my mare to her first full event. Before this, she had only been to one combined test before beacause she is 4 years old. We went intro and we won our division! I wasn't expecting to even get through dressage! When we were warming up for stadium, Sunny started freaking out and rearing and bolting because I had never ridden her with that many horses before. I jumped one warm-up jump and then I took her out of the ring. My friend grabed my horse and started walking her around before we went in the ring- my horse wasn't listening to me at all. Once I got in the stadium ring, she knew her job and listened really well. We went clear in XC and SJ. Another big plus is that she go on the trailer the first try! It usually takes up to 30 minutes to load her, but it looks like all of our hard work paid off. Overall it was a great day. Pictures to come soon
