    First Event Coming up!

Blazer and I FINALLY have our first event coming up in November! We are going to the three day at Fresno Horse Park (formerly Ram Tap), and I couldn't be more excited! I debating between doing beginner novice and intro. When I told my trainer that she looked at me like I was crazy and told me to do beginner novice, so that's what we will probably end up doing. Blazer and I have been cross country schooling twice in the past two months and are planning on going again at least once (but probably twice) before the event. Our next xc schooling is scheduled for next Wednesday - so exciting! Here is a video a friend of mine put together for me from Blazer and I first time going xc schooling - if you guys have any helpful advice on my position I'd love to hear it. (When we were going through the water I lost a stirrup so that's why my position is super sloppy!)

Does anybody have any other advice for calming the nerves? I've done lots of schooling shows before and have never gotten too nervous. But this will be our first event and our first rated show so my nerves are already getting the best of me! I think I'm more excited than nervous but the two are slowly starting to blend into one!

You look fine up there. You should be absolutely fine at BN. Just trust your horse and have fun. Nerves are just adrenaline yet to be released. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
