Talking First Event coming up this weekend!!! :D

So I just have to say how EXCITED I am about this coming weekend (Sunday the 20th)...it's my first Event of the season and this year I've moved up to Very Green hehe ;) For those who know me, you know what a big step that is!

So anyway, this event is at the same place where I fell off in cross country and was eliminated twice last year, so it's kinda my nemesis lol! But NOT THIS YEAR oooooooh no I am NOT letting that happen again! I went to a hunter pace last weekend that is known for its tough course and jumps...and I forced myself to try to jump every darn jump (minus the ones of 3'0" because my pony is really only trained for like 2'3" right now and so am I hehe! She refused several of them, but I (with the help of a little conversation with my crop!) made her go over them and by the end of the course, she had learned that it's easier to just jump over things than argue with me! I feel like riding those refusals really gave me the confidence I need to stay on this weekend...so cross your fingers everyone!

Here is a video and some still pics of my hunter pace weekend...I think this log is about 2'3" maybe? Or 2'6"? I don't know, my pony is 14.1hh and I'm 5'1" so you tell ME ;) For those who don't know me, I'm the one on the buckskin, my friend Barb is on the black horse!

I'll post updates after Sunday of how our first Event of the season went!!!

Wish us luck!

WOOT WOOT! GO STEF!!!!!

You will do amazing well at your upcomming HT! Look at where you are now, in compareson to where you were last year this time. You are so much more confident, so much more solid and eager and you are a go getter! You'll do great!

Just remember to keep Sandie infront of you on approach to your fences, and MEAN IT! Stay behind her and say "yes we are!" Keep your upper body tall, stay in that functional two point and have fun!

You can do it! Looks like you had a blast at your Hunters Pace! LOVE your friends saddle pad, I wanted to buy the same one so badly when they had them at Millbrook tack in my area, but I couldn't afford it. I couldn't decide between the baby blue one, or the white one.

Super proud of you!

Sandie is so cute over that log! Look at those tight knees! Your form is so much improved over last season. There's no hesitation there anymore. You guys are going to kick butt this weekend! Have fun.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

Stop in the name of sexy...we had FUN on the cross country course today!!!!! Here are some pics from us schooling the course today...wish us luck for the actual SHOW tomorrow!

I know my form still needs work, but I feel MUCH better about these pics compared to the ones from last year haha...Aaaaaaand Miss Sandie totally REFUSED the jump with the rocks in front of it (because I was kinda thinking she would of course!) but I STAYED ON!!!! WAAAAAAHOOOO!!!! After a few tries we got her over it, and then she jumped it fine from then on!

I particularly like seeing the tire jump pic...mind you, the one she dumped me off in front of last year we jumped today NO PROBLEM, and she and I both looked at the one we're jumping this year, somewhat larger, but then we decided to go for it! ;)

Our first bank -- anyone have any tips? We'd never done a bank before and boy did it feel funny lol

Downhill brush box...

I know Sandie wanted to stop and EAT this jump ;)

Pretty much sums up how I feel when Sandie and I are riding...pure joy.

Ok had my butt been back and closer to the saddle just a tad I would really like my form in this one hehe

Apparently I felt the need to jump FOR her in this one!

I just love her cute little knees!

I swear she looks for the next jump along WITH me!!! Ok not to brag, but who doesn't think this is one beautiful pony face??

HAHAH TAKE THAT TIRE JUMP! ;) (I say as I stare down at it hahahaha!) It's a wonder she jumped it with me on her back doing this, she's some wonder pony!!

Have I mentioned how gorgeous my pony is? ;)
