Eventing is a lot cheaper than some other horse sports =]

^I feel the same way for my horses. They were out just running in the pasture chasing and racing each other over the fences, and I just watched them. Every rider is alouded that one horse, and I'm lucky enough to have those two.

How so? You need a good saddle, if doing anything more than a cuople BN a dressage and jumping, boots for XC, show clothes, proper diet, training, schooling fees, entry fees, hauling fees, I think it's REALLY expensive!

Yes I agree with stormyblues I think it is a lot more expensive that some other equine sports and don't know how you would find it cheap

I don't think she meant that she found it cheap, just that it was less expensive than some other horse sports in that area. I know that there are some other very expensive sports out there. For other sports, you still have to have a good saddle, there are still entry fees, boarding (if the show is more than one day, if you aren't close to the facility), hauling costs, etc. I think it really depends on your area and what show it it. The Maclay Finals are incredibly expensive, but that doesn't mean that ALL equitation competitions are going to cost the same. It just depends on the show and the area, IMO.
