Not for Junior of course, he used to be a training level horse (that was like 5 years ago though). My first time ever though. He is such a good boy. My friend (who is an eventer) and I went out with our boys to have some fun. The place was SO nice and everything looked awesome. The water complex is my fav. for sure.

The day started out kind of crappy, as Junior was being a complete... can't really say what I was going to say, but I'm sure you can guess. He was spinning, would NOT move forward and was backing up, just being a complete ***hole. My friend was riding him for me, and she finally gave up. We stuck him in a stall while we took her horse out and I took a bunch of pictures of them. We got Junior out about an hour and a half later (I think). Tacked him up, she got on, galloped him and took him over some of the jumps, than I got on. I was SUPER nervous at first, as I didn't think I was going to be able to stay on. He knew what he was doing though. He was a completely different horse then I know; it was awesome. I rode him in the water complex, which he was great for. My new favorite thing is up banks, so much fun! We did that for probably about an hour total. We also went over a log two times, that I was scared to death of LOL. He was so happy, it was great.

Anyways, here are the pictures/videostills. :)

Had just gotten on.

Then I got used to it and wasn't even grabbing mane for it. :D

What a good boy!

Handsome devil!

Good boy trying his hardest. I was having a really hard time with this bank and he was doing his best.

Getting pets for going through the water so well. :)

His trot felt AMAZING!

Really starting to get the hang of it. :)

:D

Such a great day. I love this horse. He is just amazing. He is just so amazing.

Anyways, hope you enjoy the pictures, I know I do. :)

Thanks MIE! :D We will hopefully be going to another place (the place where my first event will be) at the end of next month.

I was so nervous about that jump, probably because he was being a jerk about stopping and it was a long gallop stretch after that jump. But it was AMAZING to have him jump like that under me. He never gets round over jumps, but he knows his job so well (even though he hadn't done it in 5 years LOL). Love him so much. :)

Yeah, I know the feeling! Geof is such a DUD when we're at home but get him near the start box or in the warmup, and he just knows! He knows what his blue pad and tape on his boots mean! GO TIME! It's like they got a fire lit inside of them, huh? lol! You guys look great! Have fun! XC is why we all do this sport! :)
