Gaited Horse

Is it possible for a Gaited horse to participate in eventing? He gaits and does NOT trot.

There's no hard and fast rule saying that you CAN'T participate in eventing with a gaited horse as far as I've seen. Keep in mind though that the dressage phase does *require* trot work, and not showing any would be marked as such, so very low. If you want to go and do the odd unrecognized event and just do the baby stuff just for fun only, I would say go for it. If you are hoping to do it regularly, move up the levels and be competitive, you would be better off looking for a more suitable horse.

Thank you for your input :) I'm definitely thinking just for fun. I want to give us a new job now that he isn't green broke, and have always been interested in this.
