I agree with wild_spot, if you have friends who are eventers that could work well. But make sure they have been trained propely and haven't just taught themselves to jump because you could come up with some very bad habits.

A trainer needs to be certified, that means that they have passed a course to say that they know how to teach properly, not just telling you things that can really hurt you in the end

Once I finish my exams this year ( they are major ones) I am getting a part time job and since my horse is kept at home and parents pay for feed and such then I will be using all this money for lessons from Eric Smiley for CC but I need to find a dressage coach as well at least that is what I am hoping to do I will not go into eventing without a trainer because I could seriously injure myself or my horse

For that Savvylover, I tip my hat to you. Good job and I'm proud of you for being responsible for both you and your horse, and for taking the sport seriously.

Every and any sport I enter into will be taken seriously and I don't think it is right to enter a sport such as eventing without a trainer I am only 15 and by the time I am 17 I hope to be heading into the world of eventing with a trainer or trainers by my side
