    Strange-too bad you are gone!

Although SA is pretty far from Dallas! However, I love SA, so it would have been an excuse to go :)

He's only been under saddle for 7 months and you took him out xcountry like that... not to b a downer he's gorgeous but you can tell he hasnt had a lot of training yet and esp to b out doing xcountry over such big jumps. He was very quick even in the stadium phase.. personally I would b doing smaller jumps and at a trot to get him comfortable, in both videos he was just flying around in a freaked out manner

You know I'm pretty sure this thread wasn't started for you to critique. She wanted to express her enthusiasm for her horse's first time out schooling, nothing more. If she wanted your critique she would have said so.

@Dubya - Lol yeah. I haven't evented in Area V in a little over 2 years now. Definitely been a while.

    Not sure what to say

Thank you Strange for your comments & understanding, I wish that you were still riding in Area V. We had a great time at Meadow Creek.

well im just expressing my concern as eventing is/can be very dangerous esp for young horses. I did not critique her just stating what I saw and what I would have done, hence why I said personally I would..

Probably could have said something more like this...
He's gorgeous! If he were my own horse I probably would have waited until he had some more hours under saddle before going out on the cross country course, but he looks like an honest fellow!

In stadium, he looked a bit quick but again that's probably just due to lack of experience, I'm sure with continued "basic" training over smaller jumps at a trot to get him confortable, he'll be a great little Eventer for you!

    Instead of this...

That may have been met with less defense :)
