Hey to all of you. =]

I'm located in the SW area, and was simply wondering if there is anyone interested in riding out at Ft. Custer with me (or someplace else), either sometime this late fall still, or in the spring? I have always envied those who get the chance to go, and now that I have a horse... well, it would be a lot of fun, IMO. =]

Awww, you just missed out on the Battle Creeks Hunters Pace. A small group and I did it today and we had a blast. I was a Kitty Kat, and my friend was a Devil and my other friend was a Tree - lol.

Big turn out too. I didn't think to PM you about it. Poop.

But hey - Dorothy Crowell is coming to my barn for a 2 day clinic over Thanksgiving. You should totally sign up. I am for sure. Maybe we'll see one another!

How much is it, MIEventer? And what about just to watch?

I was going to do the hunt pace, but I didn't have anyone to go with, and I took a sorta-bad fall a few weeks ago and Saturday was the first time I rode since then.

Bahaha. Nice, upsidedown. =] I don't think it's us that are so coordinated- we just have dedicated volunteers that are pretty rockin' awesome. =] Plus, we do have quite a few places in the area to go, so I guess we're just among the really lucky eventers. =]

For Non Lou Don Members, the clinic is:

$125 for a private Dressage Lesson
$125 for semi group Jumping Lesson

For Auditing, it is $10.00 for one day, or $15.00 for all 3, or was it 2? I have to get the paper out of my car.

Dorothy is a phenominal Rider/Trainer. I ride under her every time she comes here, and I am OOBER excited that she is coming right quick!

It's funny, because I was corresponding with Diane via E-mail and said briefly "Is Dorothy coming to our neck of the woods this year? If so, you should have her at Lou Don, you'd get a great turn out! Not only are there a few Eventers, but the barn is crammed packed with Jumpers who would most definately benefit from her expertise"

And the next night I was out riding, Ena came to me and tried to surprise me with the news. lol.
WELL DUH!

I am so psyched! If you come, you'll know me right away. Just look for Nelson and you'll know it's me on him.

You may not remember me aftarwards, but you'll definately remember Nelson.
Eventers in Michigan need to stop making everyone else jealous with their coordination of schedules and their usernames involving the word, or some variation of it, "event" and the abreviation "MI" You're making us all look bad!
Well, either move on down here and join us, or get your act together and show us what you've got.

Can't miss school. =/ Unfortunately. *sigh*
Darn school gets in the way of all the fun things.

Why not haul over to Lou Don this weekend? We can ride together.

A group of friends and I go out on a lovely hack out in the huge pasture and then we work on CC and Stadium. The coach is there and she doesn't charge. She is usually riding herself.

You're more than welcome to haul on over.

I'll see what my mom says- being that I've never met you, she may or may not be willing. Thanks for the [wonderful] offer!

Well, it is a big barn and there are lots of people there. And, you asked for people to ride with, and I am pretty shure you know absolutely no one on this forum that you asked to trail ride with - so I thought an invite to the barn I board at would help you out on getting to know more eventers and socialize.

I wasn't asking to be attacked. I was trying to say that my mom may or may not approve, and since she isn't a horse person, I didn't want to commit to anything if she says she has plans or something comes up.

#18 ·
Ahhh, where did I attack? I was just pointing out my feelings on the situation.

You asked complete strangers on the forum to go hacking with you at Fort Custer or Yankee Springs or wherever, and I invited you to come to Lou Don.

I completley understand that you have to discuss this with your mother - I whole heartedly agree, since your Parents have to haul your horse over anyways.

I just thought you'd want to get to know more riders in our area.

I just felt like your comment "you asked for people to ride with, and I am pretty sure you know absolutely no one on this forum that you asked to trail ride with"
was a little... well, I dunno. xD
My mistake, again.

I would love to haul over- when do you go out? I work on Sundays, so... Saturdays? What times? For how long? I'd like to present my mom with an accurate plan before I ask and she has questions I don't have an answer to. =]

Ok, I am out Tuesday's after work, I get out at 5:00 - go home and change as quick as I can and drive out. It is a 1/2 hour drive for me, so I don't get there until sometime after 6:00pm.

I don't ride Monday's or Wednesdays now because it gets dark sooner and by the time I get out there, I can only use the indoor and on M's and T's, there are lessons going on and the arena is crammed packed until 7:30pm. So I just skip those 2 days all together now.

Thursdays and Fridays are the same as Tuesdays.

Saturday and Sunday is free willy nilly, so whatever is good for you, is good for me. Let me know and I can let my friends know and we can all meet at the same time.

I wish I could make it, but my mom said that she doesn't feel up to it, or has other plans, or something. =[
So no can do this weekend. Sorry.

If you do trailer to my place next week instead of setting the date this friday, I have six or so jumps down at the barn... we could meet up. That's only if you'd like to.
