Hey, that is great news Chickey! That is awesome to hear! Don't thank me though, thank Dorothy - lol.

Nelson has become alot more responsive as well for me. Everytime we ride, I work on "Good Leg" cues with him.

So she has helped the both of us :)

It isn't the information we are given, it is what we do with the information that we are given that matters.

There are others who rode with me, and they haven't applied pip with what Dorothy gave us - so I ask myself "What was the point of them spending $150.00 to ride with her if they didn't even take what she gave them and apply it in their riding?"

Makes no sense.

So - even though you didn't ride with her - I am so happy to hear that her riding advice has helped you!

Yeah, I agree, I LOVE auditing because you can aply everything they tell you almost! It's a waste of money if you don't aply what you learn!
I havn't been able to ride the past couple of days and I'm DYING. I. Hate. High. School. Finals. Nuf said.

^ Good for you - However - It isn't new or revolutionary. It is exactly what most people on this forum suggest for a horse who is a bit dead to the leg, and except for adding maybe one more step, EXACTLY the same as what I suggested in the 'argument' we had about spurs. It is simply escalation of pressure - The way this instructor taught you simply cut out the gradual increase and go straight from light touch to maximum pressure.

There is so much you can obtain from Auditing. I've Audited many clinics that I wasn't able to afford to pay for. I've watched Dressage Clinics taught by Prix Saint George Dressage Competators, and even Dressage Clinics from the Crem De Da Crem - The Spanish Riding School in Vienna.

I've even been able to Audit George Morris's clinics in Chicago and at Waterloo here in MI.

Ther is SO MUCH you can obtain from these "Greats".

Tell you what, I'll share with you with what I learn from clinics and you share with me what you learn :)

I'm proud of ya! Keep up the great work :)

^deal! When I'm down in FL(If we can persuade my headmaster to let me take 2 weeks off school and do classes through e-mail) I'll be doing alot of clinicy sort of things, so I'll DEF be bloging about that! Lol I just have to survive finals first... and that is why I have horses, great stress releivers!

My biggest advice - is have someone video tape you riding, if you ride. And if you aren't riding, ask permission to record, if not, bring a note book with you and write down notes, notes, notes, notes and more notes.

I have watched my video's of the Dorothy Crowell Clinic over and over and over again and everytime I keep seeing something new. So it is great to have documentation to turn to aftarwards to continue to learn from.

Yeah, I love looking at pictures, because something might feel right, but be totally wrong! IE- some of my oxers at Holly Hill. That's what learning is all about though! Do you have any of the vids and or pics from the clinic you'd be willing to share? *big puppy dog eyes*
