Wink My first mini-trial!

So our barn is going to a mini-trial as a group by the end of may. That leaves me a few months to prepare. I was hoping you experience eventers out there could tell me what I'll need (besides the obvious- tack, horse, halter, etc.) Things that you may not have expected you would need but did? Tips for showing and keeping your horse comfortable? This will alo be our first show away from our barn. Tips for that? getting her acclimated and comfortable?

Thanks you guys!

Just go and have fun :) You'll do just fine, and I am sure you will beable to handle yourself well!

Just get there early, and lead him around to let him see everything. Grounds, horses etc, etc. Relax, put a smile on your face and enjoy!

Best of luck, and I look forward to piccies! :) YAY!

good luck and have fun ! =]

remember to bring plenty of buckets for drinking water, carrying water around, wash bucket, etc. also i always bring an extra bridle and girth [even if they arent really show quality] just in case ! i like to have lots of rags too

i like to walk my horses around as much as possible, and handgraze them if possible. it can be a bit harder on them if they arent used to being cooped up 24/7 and its a good idea to get them comfy with their surroundings. if you can go the day before the show starts its good to ride around the area and school your horse.
