Our First ODE - Pictures.

Warning: Could be slightly amusing.

This weekend Maddie, Zoe and I took our three horses to the local One Day Event. Witch went over two days. Our weekend consisted of rufusals, falls and forgetting dressage tests.

Day 1 - Dressage

Out of the three of us, I rode first. Chinga was really good and cantered well in the warm up. Even on those horrible circles.. But no.. when we entered the dressage arena.. Bam.. There went the dressage test out the window, along with Chinga's manners. Made it though the start of our dressage test without forgetting, but I think I would have rather forgotten my test then the way we rode it.. see Chinga had the idea of a FAST trot.. eghh, my fault. When we heard the bell that gave us 30 or so seconds to enter the ring.. I completly freaked.. We were up the other end of the arena, no way we would make it.. So I asked him to do a fast trot, then in our test our trot was just all over the place. I forgot the second part of our test and we didn't get eliminated.

Day 2 - Show Jumping and Cross Country.

Show Jumping - Jumped like a crazy horse.

First Jump : Jumped like a panda over it.. sending us flying. One of the instructors there said he jumped as high as the 1.20m fences.. wouldn't suprize me. I lost both my stirrups and managed to ride out another leap with only one stirrup :) Then we went over our third fence nicely.. then there was the felt flower fill. He was NOT going over this (alot of other horses didn't) . So we got eliminated.

Cross Country:

In the warm up we jumped a 70cm fence and WE took off to early (completely my fault) and we face planted into the jump. Well I did. But after tears and laughter I got back on and rode my course. Rode really well even over the table top which I didn't want to go over at the start.. It did not look appealing. But we flew over it like there was no tomorow.

heehee. Congrats guys. Glad you made it out alive Nice jumping positions ;p. Glad you had fun with Maddie and Zoe. Great learing experience for you.

Am I really allowed to critique this Maddie? Its not great, but good on you for giving it a go. We've all got to start somewhere.

Hi Maddy(?)
I have been reading your posts on Chinga and things, but im curious, is this after he turned feral and all the bad things came up?
I was reading your other post (Look what they did to him *CHINGA*)
And i think it's awesome you stood by him through the bad times and believed in him, and ignored the "Sell him" comments.
I'm just confused a bit, is this after you had people hurt him in the night or before?
