Sky 1st time going cross country

I finally got some pictures of Sky going over cross country. My friend even made me a dvd with little video clips. I was so proud of her this day. She jumped very green in the beginning but by the end !" She really likes to look around at things when she gets to a new place and I felt bad because I should have let her walk around a bit more because when we would jump a fence she would then see something else she hadn't seen before, she wouldn't spook but would be curious as to what it was. It was really funny at the bank because there is another jump just past it and she couldn't see it until we jumped up on there and when she jumped up she sort of stopped to check everything out. "SIGHTSEEER" Unfortantely my friend was only able to get jump at the first one. If I figure out how to put video up I"ll add a video clip. I also put pictures of our first time jumping stadium jumps (at home she only has natural color jumps) It was a good week with lots learned.

Wow, sounds like a great time. I love how her ears prick so far forward...I think if she put them any more forward they would be lying flat against her forehead lol.

She looked like she was having fun! Its always exciting to jump brightjumps for the first time isnt it? We also have dull brown poles at home, so when they saw the bright ones at a show... wow lol

I competed up to novice with my little half arabian mare Shadow and loved it and after having three knee surgeries I started getting back into and she just didn't have the same enthusiam about it plus my goal is to get to intermediate and I knew she wasn't going to be the horse so to the track I went, Sky came off the track last Sept. And has really been coming along in the last couple months since we started serious training not just going for trail rides. I think I have some potential here!
