It was our first full USEA horse trial of the year (we had done a combined test in March). We did what is hopefully our last Beginner Novice before moving up at May Daze Horse Trials at the end of May.
Demi was MUCH more settled in her stall and in the show environment than before. She just settled right in and acted like a champ
We started off the weekend at KHP doing dressage. We had an awesome warm up and even though we didn't score as well as we usually do, she was super forward and I got amazing rider marks! She was supple and just overall awesome. We scored a 35.7 on the test. I think we should have done better but, hey it's just one judge's opinion!
Then show jumping came about two hours later. She was amazing in warm up. Usually we have an awful warm up and good round. The course was turny and very technical but I knew my little pony could do it
Today was XC at Masterson Station Park. The course was HUGE. The horses were required to run up two very large hills to max fences and it was going to be a challenge for my little tired mare. But warm up for XC was great and we went in confident. She tackled the course like she's never done before!! She handled the hills like they were nothing. Took the brush fences like a steeplechaser and went down the hills with her butt under her!
I am so proud of my little girl! We ended up 6th out of 16 with a 39.7 as our final score. Pretty green ribbon to add to our growing collection :)
We are moving up to Novice at May Daze as my trainer said "you two were beautiful out there!"
