I did a test ride in one through SmartPAK and HATED it. The Wide tree wasn't even remotely wide enough for my warmblood/tb cross. But worse than that, the stirrup bars are at a really wierd angle that positioned my legs at a backwards angle so they kept rubbing against the calf block. I didn't have the regular to compare it to, but the panels were pretty forward.
I was so disgusted that I thought about it and realized that I have never once been unhappy in a Stubben, so I gave up and called a Stubben saddle fitter and she brought out 8 different saddle for me to try. I ended up getting the Roxanne and it is fabulous. THey di have a monoflap now - the Excalibur - that I rode in and it is really comfy. It has massive calf blocks though and my horse is still quite green so I need something I can put my legs far back in occassionally, so it didn't work for me. It's quite a bit more than the Toulouse, but worth trying if you can afford it and are looking for a quality monoflap. You really cannot go wrong with a Stubben.
If you're thinking about the Toulouse mono, go to Smartpak and do the testride option. That way you can try it and send it back for a full refund if it isn't what you want.
