Thanks Drew! We have a long way to go - well, I have a long way to go! I've lost so much since January, it amazes me how much I lost over just a few months of not riding - *sigh* but I'm getting there.

I have to get Nelson back into a regular conditoining schedule as well, Nelson got winded quite easily out there, so I have to pick our hacking schedule up - alot. More trot/canter sets for sure, while I get back to working on my lower leg and 2 point.

WHEW! I got winded just thinking about that :P

I know it! Ours is May 2nd, and I'm already stressing about my leg and Nelson's conditioning, and our Stadium Jumping.

Great to see Nelson back in work , also great to see that he's not completly crazy after his lay off . Good luck for your first outing of the year.

I am SOOO jealous! Nowhere near me has anything even close to having XC fences. You two look great and I'm sure you will continue to get stronger with conditioning and a few more miles! Don't beat yourself up coming off a layup...if you push too hard you'll end up back there. Feel the pain but don't kill yourself!!

LOL ,really?!?! How ironic is that? I'll probobly be thinking about you during my day, wondering how yours is going! Do you have your Test A memorized yet? I keep getting myself confuzzed on the upward and downward transitions. I keep thinking the upward is after A or C, and the downard is before A or C, when it is the other way around - lol. Gotta work on that!

Not stressing :) I am super excited! To be honest, I never thought Boo would be capeable of competition after his serious leg injury and near death colic in Jan - so, praise the Horse Gods and Hallaujia and all that jazz for the horse I have, the super hero he is and that we are a team rearing to go!

Come move on over here Nitty! I'd be happy to take you around my area! You'd have a blast with my group and I! We laugh so much, I think I'm going to have to invest in Depends because I almost wet myself from laugher.

Thanks for the encouraging words, greatly appreciated! I beat myself up alot to be honest. I look at pics of where I was, and see where I am now and I get angry at myself because I know better. That's why I wont really give critiques anymore because I myself, am not where I should be form wise or condition wise to do so.

I know we are our worst critics - and trust me, I can pick apart every video - but you are 100% right, I cannot do that to myself, or Nelson because of the layup we had in January.

I don't want to push him beyond his limits, that's why we are sticking with BN and N this year and leaving it at that and if we are faced with moving up in levels, I'll leave that decision up to Nelson. I want a happy, sound, sane horse, nothing is more important. I almost lost him in January, and I don't want to come to that again - ever.

Thanks for your words! I do appreciate them wholeheartedly :)

I don't come on this section much since I do not event but I saw a thread about Nelson and wandered on in.

It is wonderful seeing him back in action after that scare you had. The photos are beautiful and from the videos it looks like you and Nelson were having a blast!
