You earn the right to wear the countries jacket, not the flag.

I agree with Mi! There's nothing wrong with wearing your countries colors. I've seen a lot of red white and blue colors before. I wouldn't clip an American flag on my horse that'd be impossible but if I was from Canada a maple leaf would be really cute! Like MI said it's the red coats that you have to earn. That's the only thing that separates the team from others in terms of dress.

lol, I wouldn't clip the whole flag on Nelson's butt. Just the Maple Leaf :)

Just like this:

I don't have colors for gypsy yet ! We havent evented together yet !!

With most horses I either do hunter or navy or both.

BUT I just got a new Rodney Powell vest and its light grey and light blue ! So im thinking light blue for gypsy and she has white woof boots. I might just dress her in all white though because I think she looks really pretty in all white =]

I really wanted the sky blue that woof boots was making for a while...just a nice medium blue. But my green XC vest put a stop to that. So we're hunter green. Traditional and boring, but looks nice I guess.

There is a difference between sewing a flag onto your tack, and having a maple leaf clipped (or crosshatched or sparkled) onto a horses butt.

Exactly.

As a Canadian, I should be able to wear an outfit with a flag on it if I choose. Besides, I am proud to be Canadian and want to show it.

Black and hunter green. Matches my horse and any other horse I might have in the future.
