Yeah I roach because it means I don't have to braid :P I'm just lucky my horse has a nice neck, because a roached mane doesn't suit every horse.

Don't bother roaching with scissors either, it looks horrible! Clippers are the only way to go.

Thanks guys

We will have fuzzbuckets here soon, they're all starting to spring their winter coats now. Monty will be clipped again this winter because I'm expecting to have him in full work and a wet clipped horse dries a lot faster than a wet hairy horse... but I won't have that kind of a shine again until at least springtime and maybe even summer. He's still shiny, and stays reasonably shiny, but he goes so fuzzy :P
