Thank you Wild Heart! That is very kind of you :)

Too bad you can't find a coach in your area :( You can just move here!

Ok - another surprise.....not sure how this happened, but there it is....

Not only did Nelson and I place 3rd overall for Area 8 Michigan Eventing in Beginner Novice Horse, Senior Rider...........but we also placed 1st overall for Area 8 Michigan Eventing, for Beginner Novice Rider, Senior Rider.

*scratches head* How did that happen? I signed up for Beginner Novice Rider because Nelson is definitely not a Beginner Novice Horse, he went Prelim....totally unfair to ride in the BN Horse category, but yet...we got 3rd in that group.

When I recieved the Ribbon...I noticed it stated BN Horse, Senior Rider and I assumed I just recieved the wrong ribbon. But then, the news came to me that we placed in the BN Rider, Senior Rider category as well.........

Wait........what? Something has to be screwy here...I have to make some phone calls, lol.

LOL yeah that's a little difficult unless of course you did shows in BOTH categories at the same show each time you went, which I'm sure you did not do ;)

Hey by the way, are you planning on doing BN again next year, or moving up to Novice?? Because I plan on doing BN next year and doing some actual Horse Trials!! And we're in the same Area, we can be in the running together!! ;)

Well, I made some phone calls, and the standings are correct. Even though Nelson did Prelim, it doesn't matter because he would of had to of done that level within the last 24 months, which he did not.

So yes, they put me in both categories, and it doesn't matter that I signed us up for BN Rider, senior....because it all depends on the individual HT that we did, and what category they put us under to accommodate the amount of entries they had to balance out each section...

So, yes...Nelson and I not only placed 3rd overall for my area for BN horse, senior rider, but we also placed 1st for BN Rider, senior rider.

LOL....doesn't make any sense.

Comgrats to both you and Nelson! Well done!

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky
