MBP- JEALOUS! I have to sell my vest first. But I may have to wait until after the first XC schooling of the year. I don't want to miss out because of a stupid lack of vest! lol.
Eventerdrew, what color are you going to get? Way too many options. I first wanted red, but then decided I might not want to be that visible, so I changed to purple.
I have the outlyne one and LOVE IT! I HIGHLY recommend it, even though it is pricey. Everyone seems to love charles owen and rodney powell but I've tried both of those and HATED them. They are just so bulky and uncomfortable. The aerowear outlyne forms to your body better than the others and is very comfortable. Nothing like a tipperary of course but after a few minutes I barely noticed I was wearing it. All other vests i've tried felt like turtle shells.
I dislike any vest that is not certified nor approved. I'd wrather have a "bulky" vest that has the stamps of approval on it, knowing that I'll be as best protected incase of a fall - than a vest that isnt bulky, and has not passed the tests to ensure my body's safety.
I agree, which is why I got rid of my tipperary! Aerowears are certified beta level 3, just as safe as rodney powell, charles owen, etc, but alot more comfortable.
I was supposed to order a Rodney Powell, but with my season starting in a month it wouldn't be here in time. SOOO, I picked up a Tipperary. I'll be ordering a RP later this year though, for next season, then I will use the Tipperary for schooling.
I'm opposite. I have a very hard time buying clothes or things for me. I look at the price tag and think that is rediculously high - but when it comes to buying stuff for Nelson - it doesn't seem too expensive.
Are Tipperary's not certified? Sheesh, if I knew that, I never would have got one!
I got my blue childs one about three years ago and didn't really look into it. I started jumping and I needed a vest, and that was what everyone at pony club had, so I got it. Silly me.
the flexible ones with all the little squares are not ASTM certified, but they are beta level 1, when for xc your really want a level 3
