Hidalgo

The story was no more real than The Black Stallion or Black Beauty. However,that takes nothing away from them-all good movies.

I ride Hidalgo's sister Cheyenne at Happy Trails in Imperial Beach, Ca. Cheyenne is an amazing horse I'm sure just like her brother.

My faaaaav movie!!!! :) The horse that plays Hidalgo is sooo beautiful. I promised myself to get a paint one day and call him Hidalgo :P Lucky Viggo also bought him after the movie.

Love the movie. Just watched it the other day. I want a mustang like that one. I thought Hidalgo was a mustang not a paint??????

Ya it really fooled my dad too. I kept insisting they didn't really use one, because they are shorter and stockier looking, but he just won't believe it lol. :P

Actually Hidalgo was a pinto Mustang as Paints are only of QH or TB blood.

If they wanted to be tricky about it they could claim that it was based on a true story. A sly play on words.

Based on a true story. Not in the sense that the story is of a true occurrence, but that the movie was based on nothing but a story. Or to put it another way, Truly based on a story. Hope that made sense. Just me being facetious.

I liked the movie, but no way is a horse straight off the grasslands in America going to kick the butts of desert born Arabs. But I am a little biased. :P
