When I was a kid, I read one of those condensed books in a Reader's Digest about Seattle Slew. They said in the book, that he wasn't much of a looker but I don't see that at all. Maybe horse people know better than I do. He always looked mighty gorgeous to me. What I LOVED was his "war dance".
Many years later, I am still drawn to a horse who shows personality, a horse who has his or her own quirks, determination and reasons for doing what they do. We are all born to do something, give something and I tend to think when we figure out what it is and we get to do it, we dance!
