Zenyatta!!!

I liked that race. I am a big fan of fillies that can outrun the colts. She even beat the Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird.

It is amazing to have to spectacular fillies in the same year.
Both Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta are nothing more than simply magnificent!
There is a lot of debate these day about synthetic track surfaces and I am sure over the years to come there will be more!

Nevertheless, these two girls are superb athletes!!!!

She was amazing! I love her. I love it when fillies beat all them boys and are like "nah nah nah nah you got beat by a GIRL!" Lol:)

Where was she during the Kentucky Derby?

She's five...only 3 year olds run the derby

I have to say, where the eclipse awards are concerned, I'm definitly joining camp Zenyetta. Rachel Alexandra is very fast horse and a champion in her own right, but She reminded me of the queenly presence that Ruffian always displayed.

Sorry, I meant tosay that Zenyatta reminded me of the queenly presence that Ruffian always displayed. Really think Zenyetta is the horse that should be horse of the year. Besides, I'm still mad at Calvin Borel for ditching Mind That bird for Rachel in the Preakness. I honestly think that Mind that bird could have won the preakness if Calvin had been on him. They had something almost magical between them and Calvin threw that away. Even if he did win the Preakness with Rachel, I still think it's a question of ethics. What if Ron Turcotte had ditched Secretriet in the middle of his Triple Crown bid? Maybe big Red would never have achieved greatness the way he did. A rider really has alot to do with how a horse performs.

yeah, when you ride a horse alot, you learn exactly how he runs...I'm glad that Zenyatta had pretty much the same jockey every time...she's a great horse, and her rider makes her even better because he know's how she rolls...

It's official. I just found out that Rachel is horse of the year. I thought for sure that Zenyetta would get it. I'm also hearing that Zenyetta is unretiered and will be racing this year! Maybe the two queens will meet each other yet!
