Barn Cats and Vaccinations

Do you vaccinate your barn cats? And if you do, what do you vaccinate them for?

We had barn cats for years and years and I can't ever remember having vaccinated them for anything. However, most of them were feral and it would have taken tranqs just to let us get close to them. If I was going to vaccinate them, I would chose rabies first cause that could be communicated to your horses, dogs, cows, or whatever other animals you have.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

When they were barn cats I'd vaccinate them for rabies, fe-leuk, and distemper. I've moved so now they're lazy inside cats until I once again have a barn :)
