    Exclamation Duck question

I have a duck that is 2 years old now and her name is Killer. I love her, people are making feel sad and say, ''you should let her free." But if I do that it's duck season soon, I would just cried if she got shot. She like one of the family like the rest of my pets. She in a cage that is 4 an half by 3 feet. It's only two feet tall so she really can't fly.
She has water in her cage to swim, I have chicken in a near by coop. That's is 12x8 and 10 feet tall. I could put some water for her to swim in and she could fly a bit in there but I fear my chicken will bully her. Since my chicken are big blacks and like to peck things. I have 4 chicken in the coop and I don't know if I should put Killer in with them. Is the chicken coop to small to put a duck in there too? It makes me sad that people think I'm mean to her when I'm not.
Should I put her in with the chickens?

What kind of duck is she? That would make a difference about letting her go... maybe you could give her to the humane society or local farm?

The chickens and ducks out with my guy all get along pretty well however they have been around eachother for quite awhile and when they were introduced, it was in an openish area so they would have room to get away from eachother if it went worse than planned.
If you want to release the duck, I would suggest working with a wildlife center to make sure the duck will be able to survive out of captivity.

I'm not going to let her go free... I'm live on a small farm, so slowly let the chickens and duck met until they are friends. Then put her in them the chickens?

I have 3 ducks and 11 chickens, we never introuduced them but they get along fine...except for feeding. The don't bully them, just chase them off, if you had to feeders or something I can almost garentee you they will he will be fine with them
