Flea/Tick meds, Heartworm meds, Wormers...What's the Best Mail Order Source?

Hi, me again. Now that I've gotten my puppy, Sam, I'm trying not to break the bank with all these preventatives. I now have 3 dogs! Yikes! Guess that makes a pack.

I've already started doing my own shots via Tractor Supply. Yay~!

Now I want to do the flea/tick, heartworm, wormers via mail order. Tractor Supply doesn't do the prescription heartworm stuff. Also, how does it work when you order a prescription med online? I suppose your vet calls it in?

What online meds supplier do you use? Most economical? Most customer friendly? Are your vets cooperative about calling in prescriptions?

My vet for Journey is the vet for my stable where I board her. My dogs' vet is a small animal vet for our town. The techs I spoke to on the phone were less than encouraging about the shots, so I wonder if they'll be snotty about me doing my own meds, too. Grrr.

Any help and moral support is appreciated once again.

Here's Sam at 4 months, playing with Sasha. Her world now revolves around him. My old senior dog, Josie doesn't like the camera and is so happy that those two have each other to gnaw on and give her some peace.
