    Lambkins

We're in the middle of lambing season,so I thought I'd share some pictures of just a few of the lambs we have running around. :)
Most are Charrolais/Suffolk X or Charrolais/Suffolk/Romanov X,a few also have a little Lacaune in them.

Why is one ear floppy and one sticky-uppy? Is it due to the tag?

Yes,the tags cause their little ears to droop;as they get older they straighten out again.

We used to be able to get tags made specifically for lambs;they were much smaller and light weight. But,the company that made them quit making them and now this is the smallest we can find in our area. I always feel bad putting them in because they're so big for their little ears.. But they need to be tagged, for a number of reasons,so they just have to be lopsided for a bit. :)
