i'm having issues too. Had a neighbor's dog eat 3 of our baby chicks OUT of the coop. How the dog got them i'll never know, had 2 chick bodies and feathers allover his yard though, and 1 in our yard. Caught the dog chasing the chickens when they were out pecking around. Call me cruel but I caught the dog, smacked it with the dead chicken it killed, tied the chicken to it and sent that sucker running home dragging a dead chicken, hopefully it caught the neighbors attention. This kind of junk peeves me off. Next time its on my property, I think i'll just lock it up and call the pound.

You weren't being mean.
A lot of folks would have gotten rid of the dog permanently.

they were good ones too! They were the people loving kind. Really got my panties in a wad over that. And the fact that MY chickens are STILL in his yard 5 days later.. really irks me to no end. Im back down to 2 roosters and 3 hens. I was at 6 hens, and 2 roosters.

The bad thing is.. the neighbor is my grandpa.. dontcha love family? You want to do everything you can for justice, yet your afraid of stomping toes to hard. Really makes for a predicament.

If the neighbors dog killed my chickens...the neighbor would never find the body. Just saying.....

Rofl glad you guys agree everyone here thinks it was awful lol, this is why I love you guys Hahaha love sumbisquit lmao to awesome! I did try to give him leeway with his dogs because my GSD has attacked his ankle bitter twice, though only because it was getting after my sister. I havent seen the dog down here since I whipped it with the chicken though.

SNORT! I bet not! Even that obtuse owner must have gotten a pretty loud and clear message when the dog came home with a dead chicken tied to it......ROFL!
