We had two mini-Alpine does bred to a Pygmy goat buck. One of our does popped an abscess and we tested her, she came up positive for CL and had to be culled. The resulting doeling is living in our basement until its a bit warmer and she can go outside. Because of the CL its been a bit of a nightmare keeping the other doe & her kids separate until we are sure that she is continuing to be negative, keeping the new bucklings (purchased from a breeder/future herd sires) separate, keeping our new "replacement" does separate and keeping the kid from the CL doe separate. Once the ground thaws this will be SOOO much easier. But at least these cute, fuzzy, kid faces have eased the stress - here are the resulting "Pygpines" from our does!
